Chinese Arts Space have been offered National Portfolio funding by Arts Council England for 2018-22, and are now seeking an inspiring Artistic Director / Chief Executive to lead and deliver our ambitious programme.
CAS exists to redress the significant gap in provision for the UK’s BC community. CAS recognises the deep pride in the arts possessed by the BC community; and seeks to see this reflected into mainstream UK arts, in response to the British public’s enthusiastic appetite for Chinese contemporary arts and voices.

Our new Artistic Director / Chief Executive will:
be an established artist (eg. director, performer, producer), with a track record of work of the highest quality, successful collaborations, and strong financial management skills.
have, or demonstrate a willingness to develop, strong ties to the British Chinese community, they will have credibility in the arts world and with funding bodies, and they will demonstrate an enthusiastic interest in artist and audience development.
be skilled at discovering and developing talent in the next generation of artists, and at fostering dialogue between diverse groups. And they’ll be proud, eloquent advocates of the importance of the BC community in the arts world and wider society.
